Frozen on Ice
After a delightful girls' afternoon with grandma, daughters, and granddaughter, we enjoyed the show. As expected, there was a lot of hawking for gifts, which detracted from the experience. We spent over $150 for four tickets, only to be bombarded with requests for more money on food and plastic items. $18 for a program, $14 for a water bottle, and we settled for the $5 coloring book. It feels unnecessary to keep pushing these flashy, twirling gadgets that will likely break quickly. It's challenging to resist the urge to buy every item that passes by when you have a 6-year-old in tow. The lobby was congested with products, making it difficult to reach our seats.
The show, with its great effects, started on time and was enjoyable. Despite the excessive merchandising, my granddaughter loved it, and we may attend another one in the future. However, we will be more mindful of our spending and set a budget to help her make wise souvenir choices."
